The SCC presents three concerts each year. Two of the concerts feature all five choirs, one during the holiday season and one in spring. The young adult choir presents a winter concert. In addition to presenting three seasonal concerts each year, the SCC performs with other arts organizations, civic performances and community events.
Join us for our spring concert “For the Love of Song” on Sunday, May 7, 2017 from 4:00p.m. to 6:00p.m. at the Sacramento City College Performing Arts Center located at 3835 Freeport Blvd Sacramento, CA 95822.
We will be celebrating Lynn Stevens, Co-Founder and Artistic Director of the Sacramento Children’s Chorus for 24 years as she retires her baton.
“For the Love of Song” will feature some of Lynn’s favorite choral pieces over the past 24 years.
The Sacramento Children’s Chorus will be part of the Ethan Bortnick “The Power of Music” live concert on Friday, September 12, 2014 at the Crest Theatre starting at 8:00pm.
Ethan is a 13-year old musical prodigy with an intense passion for using his music to better the world. We will be joining him and his special guest, Glee star Damian McGinty, for a rousing musical performance at the Crest Theatre. You will not want to miss this show!
