Living in Los Angeles, CA and teaching at the Silverlake
Conservatory, Ann has sung on various film scores including
Tomorrowland, Jurassic World, and Goosebumps. She has
also performed for rock legend Beck, Danny Elfman,
and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Currently I work as the office manager of a criminal defense firm
in Raleigh. I still sing in local choirs and occasionally
do musical theater in the area. Still trying to figure out
what I want to do. My dream of course would be to be able
to support myself through singing.
Amanda Noelle Neal,
soprano, graduated from Loyola University New Orleans with her
Bachelors of Music in vocal performance in 2011, and will receive
her Masters of Music from Roosevelt University’s Chicago College
of Performing Arts in May of 2013.
I graduated from UC Santa Barbara in June with a BA in
Literature, and I currently live in southwestern Austria, where
I’m a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant for the current school
year–I teach English at two different high schools. During the
fall I was singing with the a capella choir for my city (art
music and traditional Austrian folk songs) but don’t have the
time anymore.
Rebecca was a member of the very first Sacramento Children’s
Chorus in 1993 and sang with the choir for at least three years.
She moved to Southern California to attend Biola University and
received her split bachelor’s degree in Communications and
Business with double minors in Bible and Graphic Design in
2003. While at Biola, she sang with the University’s Women’s
Chorus, Vocal Jazz Group and Chorale. In 2003, she toured with
the Chorale to Budapest, Prague, Florence, Venice and Sienna.
“The two most important things I learned from SCC were a sincere
sense of musicianship, and an ability to sing with total vocal
health. I found that because of SCC, when I started conservatory
training I was lucky to be a singer with a sense of musical line,
and an ability to connect to the song. This was paramount in my
success as a young singer. I also found that I sang with a sense
of vocal ease and health, and this was most certainly due to the
vocally healthy and pure approach that Lynn Stevens brought to
her teaching.”
19 years after singing in the Sacramento Children’s Chorus, Mac
shares a powerful story of his journey and how, through music, he
found courage and creativity, skills he uses today as CEO of a
high tech company.
Mac’s passion is empowering institutions, associations, and
non-profits to leverage the web to build measurable and
sustainable business value.
