Alex Grambow, artistic director believes that music provides children with a unique way to learn about the world and a safe and nurturing opportunity for self-expression. Before joining SCC as the Artistic Director, Mr. Grambow worked with children in three successful music programs. He taught in Twin Rivers Unified School District where he ran two different music programs, one at Foothill High School and the other at Foothill Ranch Middle School. Between the two schools, he taught 5th through the 12th grade and was in charge of four choirs and two bands.
Jessica Suderman, is the new Training Choir Director (Allegro and Brio) at The Sacramento Children’s Chorus. She is a lifelong musician and passionate educator with a love of the performing arts that began when she was just 3 years old. She holds a bachelors degree in music education and a single subject teaching credential in music from Azusa Pacific University. While living in Southern California, she worked with the Los Angeles Little Angels Children’s Chorale and student taught in the choral and instrumental programs at Pasadena High School. After comp
Pianist, Meagan Kilpatrick-Milburn is a teacher, accompanist, soloist, and chamber musician. She has taught piano for over twelve years and is a newly certified Suzuki teacher. She is a recent graduate from Rudolf Steiner College in Waldorf Education and received her Bachelor’s and Master’s in Piano Performance from CSUS and NYU. A member of the Music Teacher’s National Association and the Suzuki Association of the America’s, she lives in Sacramento with her husband Clayton and their two cats, Freya and Lincoln.
Kamilyn Davis was raised in Sonoma County. She sang in the Santa Rosa Children’s Chorus from ages 7-12 and studied piano, pipe organ, violin, conducting, acting and accompanying until leaving home for college at age 16. During college she sang and played the piano with choirs throughout most of the United States including Alaska, and in Italy and Israel.
Ryan Lee is excited to be working again for SCC, after a six-year absence. As a young pianist, he competed at the local level, finishing first in back-to-back years at the Solano MTA Piano Competition. He was also a finalist at the Glenn Miller Instrumental Festival Competition in Clarinda, Iowa. He continued his piano students and pursued his Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance at Sacramento State University.
