Daphne Tom Quist
Executive Director

Daphne Tom Quist, executive director has over 20 years of experience working with non-profits joined Sacramento Children’s Chorus in May 2008. She has worked at a grassroots level at Sacramento ENRICHES partnering with four school districts on their school readiness programs. She facilitated School Readiness, Asset Based Community Development and the Right Question Project workshops.She developed and managed a volunteer program for the City of Sacramento, Department of Public-Works - City Animal Shelter and worked for the American Heart Association for over 10 years as a Special Events Coordinator, School site Director and Regional Communications Director. As the Regional Communications Director, Daphne was responsible for cultivating media relations and securing sponsorships for fund raising and public awareness events. She designed and implemented recognition programs, developed long-term partnerships with business, business leaders and community groups.

Active in the Sacramento community, she was involved for 16 years in the youth performing group, Galena Street East Productions. Her involvement includes past president of the board, vice president, production coordinator for Holiday Tapestry and River City Revue and was instrumental in securing a Cultural Arts Grants from the Sacramento Metropolitan Arts Commission. She has experience coordinating a Speaker’s Bureau and works with young adults on presentation and interviewing skills. She is a member of Access Sacramento where she is trained to operate video cameras. Raised in Sacramento, Ms Quist attended local public schools and received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication Studies – Media Production at California State University, Sacramento.
